The Debute...

So, last Wednesday was the my 1st substitute of the school year. I had a training to go to in the morning. The sub was just in my room for 1/2 the day.

I like to stop in before school starts and make sure everything is in order and just idiot-proof all my plans for the day. It really ISN'T worth it for me to take a day off. I work harder planning for my sub than I would if I just went to work...

Well, last Wednesday wasn't any different that usual. I sent Drew on his way to school and Aiden and I drove over to my school. You know you have done something right in the classroom with a child walks in, looks around and says, "Wow!"

It made me feel really great when Aiden walked in and that was the word out of his mouth! So, without further ado, here are preliminary "after" shots of my classroom. Enjoy!

This is the theme of my room. In the pictures, it's ver subtle. You have to actually be there to see all the jungle accents. "Welcome to the Jungle!" We're going on a safari...
