Here is the picture of the pasty guy in the red thong that put it out there at the PrideFest when I was in St. Louis. My FB family, you have alread seen this, so you might want to shield your eyes...
That is crazy! Hey I seen your comment about the marble factory. I wanted you to know that JJ Reyes works there. I had no idea (not that I should know) but I walked in and he works there. :)
Oh goodness!!! Too funny! On another note, you are more then welcome to come see my classroom. I would love to see your classroom as well! I am usually pretty available whenever. Let me know what works for you.
HEY! I know that guy! He's one of the gayest guys in St. Louis! You see him at the gay bars downtown. It looks like he enjoyed himself at the fest. He has some nice buns too!
The problem with this picture is that this guy has tossed societal norms out the window.... This was the park, NOT the beach. And he was the only one I saw dressed or shall I say undressed this way...
The "stuff" I mean is skin. This country is so hung up on nudity, that it's "obscene" to see the statue of David now days!
Isn't the point of gay pride to throw societal norms out the window?! You say it was a park, a place where you see girls wearing little bikini tops as shirts. I've seen girls wearing thong bikinis at public parks during car shows, so what's the difference?
I praise the guy for having enough guts to go against the norm. Who are we to say what's right or wrong? I think it's legal to wear that, despite it being the very minimum, so he wasn't breaking the law.
I don't think the point of gay pride it to throw social norms out the window. I think the point is to have the idea of gay pride become a social norm.
I don't think it would be appropriate for a girl to be dressed in skimpy clothing. I'm more of a leave'em wanting more kind of girl. Now, I can't say that I would have taken a picture of a scantily clad girl. I have been conditioned to see that as a norm, an inappropriate one, but a norm none-the-less.
And I didn't say he was right or wrong. My reasoning for putting this out there is because he did. I am just helping him out.
Perhaps I am a pawn in his grand scheme to help this country "get over" it's hang-ups about nudity... I will gladly continue doing my part to make America a better place for all.
Thanks for your thought provking comments, J.J. Snipes. Please continue to read my blog! :-)
Oh, my! I was trying to find places that sell thong swimsuits online, and I ran across your blog. This is something I didn't imagine I would see!! Well, I guess I give him kudos for being eccentric. WOW does he make a statement about nudity! I guess we do the same thing as women when we wear our thongs to beaches... Now, I have to give wearing a thong to the beach a second thought...
i am a guy, but i really have to wonder what goes through any person's mind- man or woman, when they wear things like this. he is probably thinking look at me, i'm nearly naked! i can say i sure don't have the guts to ever wear something like that in public!!!!
he really stands out because everyone else is wearing clothes, while he is in his underwear! maybe he left the house too early and forgot to put clothes on! lol
I wonder how old he is. He looks young though. It's hard to say without seeing a face, but, he looks like he's in his late teens/early 20's. I can't believe anyone over 30 would wear such a thing, ESPECIALLY a boy! AND IN PUBLIC TOO!! :O As pale as he is, it looks like he doesn't get into the sun a lot (I say this, and he's wearing nothing but a thong in the picture). If he does get in the sun, he must wear a LOT of sunscreen to stay pasty!
He looks pale, and pretty skinny. I hope he's not sick. He has to wear this next year, because I didn't get a chance to go this year, and I REALLY want to see that in person! He must have turned some heads that day!!! Although, I don't really see a lot of people turning their heads in the shot, they saw it before, maybe? I always heard of things like this showing up at other pride fairs, but I never go. You say this was St. Louis?
I remember that. I complained about him to security, and I remember seeing him carted off with them.
What he was wearing was just WRONG! I don't care if it was pridefest, I did NOT like my 7-yr-old daughter pointing out to me that this man was "naked", and asked why "his butt can be bare". I didn't have the answer. I hope he does NOT appear next year, because this is a FAMILY TOWN, not some strip club!!!
If I want my daughter to see that kind of nudity, I'd take her to a strip club, NOT the park!!
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Now, now, who are we to judge? Was it something he shouldn't have done? I can't say, because I'm not gay. What was his point? I don't know. If he was arrested, I don't think he should have been, because I don't believe he did anything illegal. If this country wasn't so hung up on modesty, and more like its parent country over in Europe, this picture wouldn't be on the internet, because this would be a common sight!
Look how many posts this blog has than your other blogs!! Sounds like you had fun at StL Pride. Go again this year, and take more pics, maybe you can get the same dude again!
Just to let you know if you're back to the area this weekend (June 26/27) is Pride StL again. I'll go, and see if I can see "whitey" in his thong this year!
To Jim, no, it's not illegal to wear a thong in the park. It's not fully appropriate either.
They have their yearly "naked" bike ride that starts in this park, and you'll see people wearing thongs then. I'll say it's more appropriate at that time, but not during pride. I think pride is more for opening up the community's mind to realize gays are just like everyone else.
I did go last year, and I saw the guy. I know they wouldn't arrest him, because he didn't break the law. They can of course refuse to let someone stay, if they get a complaint about that person.
I know they like to keep it "family oriented", so if they had a complaint, and I think someone named Rose here mentioned it, he would be asked to leave. Depending on how close he was to the exit, they may have just given him a ride to the exit.
I went this year too, and didn't see him. I bet he didn't go this year. I wouldn't be surprised if it was because he was asked to leave, and not return until he had on "family friendly" attire last year- an assumption, but an educated one at least.
I do want to point out that I visit Japan frequently, and while there, I've seen quite a few men wearing thongs at a local spa. Yes, it's not a park, but still, men were wearing thongs! Also, those sumos over there wear a thong-like style of garment too!! Just a difference between America and Japan I wanted to point out.
Wow, the detail of the picture is amazing. You can see every leaf on the tree, every blade of grass, some pasty gay dude's butt, other than that though, it's an AMAZING shot. What kind of camera did you use?

shame on you. BTW, love the new pic in the header.
Mom, like I said, if he was puts it all out like that, I'm just going to help him go global...
I haven't seen JJ in FOREVER! I'll be on the lookout for him. Thanks, Nickie.

-.-
He doesn't look that bad to me.
I don't understand why this country is so hung up on stuff like this. It's just skin. What's the big deal?
In what way are you using the word "stuff"?
The problem with this picture is that this guy has tossed societal norms out the window.... This was the park, NOT the beach. And he was the only one I saw dressed or shall I say undressed this way...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!
That guy gave himself a wedgie!!!
I LOVE IT!! Great shot! Keep those pics coming!
Yeah, me and my girl went there out of curiousity, and we saw him too. Glad you got a pic, cause we didn't bring our cameras, at least not good ones!
We saw some guys wearing daisy dukes there too! It was fun, but with all the nudity- especially with that guy!, I wouldn't take a family there.
interesting blog picture.

Like, oh my god, that's my former boyfriend! His name is Mark, he's 24, and he goes to gay clubs downtown like everyday!
I can NOT believe he wore that at pridefest! It is the thong I gave him on one of our anniversaries!! He's just doing this to get even with ME!
This nudeyboy broke my heart!!!
I remember that. I complained about him to security, and I remember seeing him carted off with them.

I went to it this year, it was over a weekend, and I didn't see the pale thong dude either day! I guess he didn't go back this year.
From the comments I've read, was he arrested?? I guess if I went to jail for doing something illegal, I probably wouldn't repeat my actions either!!

Haha to the most recent comment from Anonymous. The camera I used was a Nikon D60...
